FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
01When should I start looking for student accommodation in Lausanne?
As early as possible, ideally as soon as your admission is confirmed. Accommodation close to the campuses goes very quickly, and students who start late often have great difficulty finding a solution.
02I have no income in Switzerland: can I rent a home?
Yes, but property managers then ask for additional guarantees, most often a guarantor resident in Switzerland or a rent deposit guarantee. We help you put together an application that reassures the landlord.
03Is it possible to rent together, as a flatshare?
Yes. For example, we have found 4.5-room flats in Ecublens for four EPFL and HEC Lausanne students, as well as shared 2.5-room flats near EHL.
04Can you view the accommodation on my behalf?
Yes. We can carry out viewings for you before you arrive, or accompany you to advise you. Wherever possible, however, we recommend that you see the property yourself before committing.
05How much do your services cost?
Our fee is one month’s net rent for the accommodation found, payable only when the lease is signed. No signed lease, no fee.
